Regional Vigils Uniting Our Prayers In Favor Of Immigration Reform!

In the last three months we have been conducting regional meetings with our members to discuss our work for immigration reform this year. Over 300 community members have come to our regional meetings in Owatonna, Northfield and recently in Austin. As a result of this work, community members have created committees to work on different actions in favor of immigration reform such as marches, vigils, and congressional visits.

So far, community members have met with staff from the office of Congressman Tim Walz and we have made it clear that immigration reform needs to happen this year. Additionally, we have organized our first vigil which united over 50 people in central park Owatonna last week. We will continue with our actions to create awareness on the importance and the need for reform.

We invite all of our friends and allies to be part of our “Journey of Hope” campaign. In an effort to keep the flame for reform alive in our rural communities, we will be conducting a series of vigils in different towns of rural Minnesota. Come and join us in this journey across rural Minnesota and help us keep the flame alive and strong- as we join the national effort to reform our immigration system, end the raids, and bring millions of hardworking immigrants out of the shadows.
